The PSA Pictorial Print Division (PPD) offers one section in each of four Classes for the 2016 PSA International:

  (1) Open/General - Large Color Class (CPA)
(2) Open/General - Large Monochrome Class (MPA)
(3) Open/General - Small Color Class (CPB)
(4) Open/General - Small Monochrome Class (MPB)

All entries in either Monochrome Class section must conform to the Monochrome Definition given below.

All acceptances in the section for each Class are eligible for Pictorial Print Division Star Ratings in that Class subject to the requirements of the PSA Pictorial Print Division and for listing in PSA Who's Who in Photography. The target acceptance rate will be between 30% and 36% in each section.

The exhibition is open to anyone; however, an entry may be rejected when the sponsoring organization or its agent, in its reasonable discretion, believes the entry does not conform to the exhibition rules and conditions.

An entrant's prints will be distributed throughout 4 rounds in each section and will be judged using a 15 point scoring system (2-5 points/judge).

An entry consists of 1 through 4 prints in the same section by a single person.
All prints must be shipped flat and unmounted.

No prints will be returned to the maker. All prints will be destroyed after the Exhibition. No signature is required. You agree to this condition by submitting an entry.

The maker’s name or the image title must not be in the print area or in any other area visible to the judges of any prints. This includes copyrights.

A print (or a print from a nearly identical in-camera duplicate) previously accepted in any prior PSA International Pictorial Print Division Class (a.k.a. Division) is not eligible for entry in the same Pictorial Print Division Class (a.k.a. Division) of the 2016 PSA International.

An print previously accepted in any PSA Recognized Exhibition may not be retitled and resubmitted in any PSA Recognized Exhibition or in the PSA International with a new title.

Informative Note: PSA Recognized Exhibitions are not "THE" PSA International Exhibition. Prints accepted in PSA Recognized Exhibitions but not in a past Pictorial Print Division section of the PSA International Exhibition may be submitted in the Pictorial Print Division sections of the 2016 PSA International.

An image may be entered in only one section of the 2016 PSA International regardless of Division or Media.
All acceptances of that image will be revoked if multiple acceptances of the same image are discovered after judging.

Entries must originate as photographs (image-captures of object via light sensitivity) made by the entrant on photographic emulsion or acquired digitally. By virtue of submitting an entry, the entrant certifies the work as his/her own and permits the sponsors to reproduce all or part of the entered material free of charge for publication and/or display in media related to the exhibition. This will include the Exhibition (audio-visual program) of the accepted images to be shown at the 2016 PSA Conference, low resolution posting of accepted images on a web site and may include use in the PSA Journal. Images where entrants do not give this permission will be declined and entry fees forfeited.

The exhibition assumes no liability of any misuse of copyright. All final work must be on photographic film, or on electronic file, or on photographic or electronic print material, mounting excepted. Images may be altered, either electronically or otherwise, by the entrant. Artwork or computer graphics created by the entrant may be incorporated if the photographic content predominates, subject to divisional restrictions.

Prints accepted in this Exhibition will be eligible for Pictorial Print Division Star Ratings applications by PSA members subject to the requirements of the Pictorial Print Division. An online Pictorial Print Division Exhibition PDF Catalog listing all acceptances in all four Pictorial Print Classes of the 2016 PSA International Exhibition is included with your entry fee. You can download the catalog using a link on the Exhibition Web Site You can save the Catalog as an electronic file and/or print it out. This Catalog will contain the same information that will be provided to the Pictorial Print Division Star Ratings Directors. It will include color reproductions of the medal winning images. Printed hard copies of the Catalog will not be mailed to the entrants.

  Each Class
PSA Awards
1-PSA Gold Medal; 1-PSA Silver Medal; 1-PSA Bronze Medal, 6-PSA Honorable Mention Ribbons
PPD Awards
Creative (Altered Reality) Award; Portrait (Human) Award
Chairman's Choice Award
Club Award (See Below)

Additional PSA Silver Medals, Bronze Medals and Honorable Mention Ribbons will be awarded depending on the number of entries received.

Entrants of prints awarded any PSA Medal (Gold, Silver, or Bronze) shall submit a 6" x 4" @ 260 ppi digital tiff version of the winning image within 5 days after receiving notice of the award for possible publication in the PSA Journal. Images of entrants not submitting the digital version will not be published.

  Club Award Determination
The four scores in a single Class of each member of an eligible club will be totaled; then the totals of the members
of that club with the highest totals, up to a maximum of 7 members, will be combined to determine that club's
score. The club with the highest resulting total will be the winner of the Club award for that Class. Entrants must
enter as a member of that club for the entrants' scores to be counted.

If the exhibition determines before, during, or after the judging that an entrant has submitted entries where one or more images fail to comply with these Conditions of Entry, including the stated definitions, the exhibition reserves the right and discretion to delete the entry from the exhibition and void any or all acceptances or awards. Fees will be forfeited in these circumstances.

In order to ensure that images comply with the Conditions of Entry and definitions, the exhibition may carry out checks on the images to make sure that:
    a) the images are the original work of the entrant and
    b) the images comply with the rules and definitions as set out in these Conditions of Entry.
This may involve asking the entrant to provide originally captured image(s), with EXIF data intact, by a set deadline.

The questioned image(s) of any entrant failing to comply with such a request for the original image(s) may be considered in breach of these Conditions of Entry, and declined. Such entries may be referred to PSA for further investigation of possible ethics violations.

PSA retains the right to investigate in any way all complaints/suspicions of breaches of entry conditions, impose sanctions if deemed necessary, and share such investigations with FIAP. Entrants automatically agree to these terms by the act of entering the Exhibition.

WARNING: An entry received from an exhibitor under sanction by PSA at the time of entry will not be included in the judging and the entry fees will be forfeited.

Each Image must have a unique title. Once an image has been accepted in any PSA Recognized Exhibition, regardless of section or Division, that same image, or a like “in camera” or a “reproduction” duplicate of that image may not be retitled if used in any other PSA Recognized Exhibition. Words such as "Untitled" and "No Title" are not acceptable as part or all of an image's title, nor are camera capture filenames.

Titles will not be read aloud during judging.

Please limit titles to 35 characters including spaces and punctuation. The Entry Form software will clip any excess characters resulting in an incomplete title for inclusion in the Catalog. This will cause problems when applying for Star Ratings.

In addition to the title, the back of each print must have the name and address of the entrant in a position that clearly indicates the top of the print from the rear. Only pressure sensitive (self-adhesive) labels may be used for titles, names and addresses on the backs of unmounted prints to prevent bleed-through of the ink. The titles on the backs of the prints must match the titles on the Entry Form.

Large Prints (Class A) may not exceed 20 inches or the metric equivalent (508mm) in the longest dimension or 16 inches or the metric equivalent (406mm) in the shortest dimension. (16 inches x 20 inches). Metric A2 size is NOT acceptable.

Small Prints (Class B) may not exceed 12 inches or the metric equivalent (304mm) in the longest dimension or 8-1/2 inches or the metric equivalent (216mm) in the shortest dimension. (8-1/2 inches x 12 inches). Metric A4 size MEETS the Class B limits.

Selected * prints, including all award winners, will be dispayed at the 2016 PSA International Conference in San Antonio, Texas, between September 10, 2016 and September 17, 2016.

*Space constraints may prevent showing all Pictorial Print acceptances at the Conference. All award winners will be shown. Accepted images not included in the show will still get full credit towards Pictorial Print Division Star Ratings and Who's Who listing and will be in the Pictorial Print Division PDF Online catalog.

The club name must be clearly stated on all packages. The Club Coordinator must include a separate master list with the name of each club entrant and the fees paid by each entrant. If multiple packages will be shipped, this list must be in each package and should also indicate how many packages are being shipped. Club entries must conform to the Group Entry requirements below to be eligible for the group fees.

These conditions are in addition to the "Submitting Prints" instructions above and must be followed for entries to be eligible for the group fees listed above. The coordinator for the group entry will be contacted if the entry does not meet all the requirements below and the prints will not be judged until the proper non-group fees have been paid.

• A Group Entry must consist of entries from 10 or more makers, shipped in one or more packages at the same time. All entries do not need to be in the same package but all prints by a single person must be in the same package. Entries may be for more than one section.

• The person responsible for collecting and shipping the group entry must include a legible master list in English of all makers included in the group entry, broken down with the name of each participant in the group, the sections each participant entered, the fees paid by each participant, and the title of each print each participant entered in each section. If the shipment consists of more than one package, the list must be in each package and must also indicate how many packages are being shipped. The list must also include the name and email address of the participant who will be considered the group coordinator should the Co-Chairmen need to contact someone about the group entry.

• Each individual entry in the group must include printouts of the properly filled-in email entry forms. Group entries that do not include all such entry forms will not be considered valid group entries.

• Participants may not pay individually using the Exhibition PayPal site. All fees must be included with the prints as either cash or check(s) drawn on a US bank and made payable to "PSA". It is recommended that individual cash fees be combined into a single check.
