He caught the photography-virus at the age of fifteen, when he got an old Film-camera from one of his relatives. With his allowance money he bought a black and white film for his first snap. He developed the first film in his local photo studio. It was one of the most magical moments of his life. In the dim red light watched, wide-eyed, a miracle: the gradual appearance of dark outlines on the plastic surface of film -- forming the first photographic image he had ever taken. From then on, most of his pocket money went into his new hobby. He became the family photographer. On their trips it was he who took the usual kind of travel photos. On any occasion, in their locality he was supposed to be the unpaid photographer. But that was in some way blessings on him. It was their faces that he tried to portray, gave him the sense of light and shadow, the angle, the framing.
He received his basic formal training in photography from Photographic Association of Dum Dum in 1998-99. As time flows, this journey with photography makes his passion stronger. Landscape becomes his main genre of photography. He participates in many national and international salons and achieves several awards and accolades continue. His photos are exhibited more than twenty-five countries all over the world. He achieved his AFIAP distinction from Federation Internationale de l'Art Photographique and FFIP distinction from Federation of Indian Photography in the year 2020. He earned his PPSA in 2022.
