Erik L. Rosengren, FPSA, PPSA·


Erik began taking photos while attending college.  After a tour of duty with the U.S. Army and completing school, Erik spent 38 years in the Financial Services Industry until his retirement in 1999 when he became a more serious photographer.  In the mid 80's he joined two photo clubs in Buffalo, NY.

After moving to Largo, FL, Erik joined The Suncoast Camera Club of Clearwater in 2000 and PSA in 2001. He went through the chairs of the club and was President from 2004-2006. He was Chairman of the Central Florida Chapter of PSA from 2005-2009 and became Treasurer for the Electronic Imaging Division (EID) in 2009. Erik is the Director of the PSA Club Judging Service.  He received the PPSA Distinction in 2007 and the APSA Honor in 2010. He was elected a PSA Fellow in 2018.

Erik's work has been on the cover of “FOCUS” five times and in other magazines, newspapers, and periodicals.  In 2008 Erik's image “Come Fly with Me” received Best of the PSA Chapters Showcase.  At the 2009 Conference he presented “Retrospective of Old Florida,” and at the 2010 Conference he presented “The Art & Science of Critiquing Nature Images.” He enjoys shooting travel and photojournalism images; however his first love is wildlife photography.
