Jim Stevenson, QPSA

Photography is surely the greatest pastime in the world. You can do it anywhere, any time, and at any age. That's why I'm so passionate about it.

I began using a film camera about the age of ten, and in my teens, experimented with processing and printing images in black and white. After my family had grown up, and with the advent of digital cameras, I became more serious about photography again, and purchased a digital SLR. I still prefer printing my images, as I think a print is the ultimate expression of the photographer's art.

I'm fortunate to live in beautiful Scotland, but photography has also taken me to many other amazing places around the world. I'm a keen member and Past President of my local camera club, Kilmaurs P.C. I also judge competitions and enjoy giving presentations to clubs and other organisations.

In 2019 I joined FIAP and began entering International Exhibitions, which I find to be very addictive! I became a PSA member in November of that year, gaining my QPSA in January 2020.
