Graham Harris is an extension agronomist who has worked for the Queensland Department of Agriculture and Fisheries since 1981. In 2004 he joined the Toowoomba Photographic Society. This enabled him to regularly meet with other passionate photographers. He has found monthly competitions and discussions with fellow photographers inspirational in developing his photographic skills.
He has been entering international competitions since 2009. He has acquired photographic honours with the Australian Photographic Society (LAPS in 2013, AAPS in 2014 and FAPS in 2019), Federation Internationale de l'Art Photographique (AFIAP in 2015), Global Photographic Union (Crown 1 in 2018 and Crown 2 in 2019) and the Photographic Society of America (QPSA in 2018 and PPSA in 2020).
He was appointed an accredited judge with the Photographic Society of Queensland in 2009. In 2016 he was awarded Life Membership of the Toowoomba Photographic Society. Since 2018 he has been a Star Rating Director for monochrome images in the PSA Projected Image Division. He has a broad interest in photographic subjects, but primarily focuses on nature, landscape, sport and people.
