Gary is a self-taught photographer and has been taking images & making since about 1983. He became more serious about photography in 1991 when he joined The Trostre/Velindre Camera Club in Llanelli Wales, and is still an active member to date. He has been working in engineering since 1980 and since 1997 went into the aerospace industry and worked in the design field and more recently the documentation for certification for the air industry.
He holds a Licentiateship of the Royal Photographic Society (LRPS) 2007. He became a member of PSA in 2009. Gary received his AFIAP in 2011 and his EFIAP in 2012. He launched his website, http://www.secondglancephotography.net/ in 2010. He received his PPSA in 2012, then EFIAP/bronze in April 2014 and his EPSA in 2015.
To date he has managed to get over 100 awards in PSA & FIAP run salons, and continues to chase more international acceptances, in the various divisions he participates in.
In 2011 he was invited to join the PSA Study Group 24 and has been trying to produce new creative work and pushing his own personal limits & techniques. Since June 2014 Gary has been listed as a speaker in the WPF, where he goes to other clubs to show his audio visuals / successes & failures in his photographs over the last two decades plus, Gary hopes that his successes will inspire other fellow photographers to seek out their own success.
