Pauline purchased her first camera, a film camera when she was in her early 20's. It was a Pentax ME Super film camera, but at the time she didn't understand the concept of Aperture Priority and Shutter Priority. Then, six or so years ago she purchased a Canon T2i DSLR and took classes to understand these concepts. She is now working with a Nikon 5600 camera.
She enjoys nature photography, including landscapes, birds, flowers, and close-up photography. She joined PSA almost 3 years ago and belongs to a study group, Digital Dialog Study Group, and is excited about the learning and growth that she can achieve as a result of belonging to PSA including the amazing online course she took: Creating Competitive Images.
Pauline lives in Silver Spring, MD. and works full time for the federal government. When she is not working, she may be: at Toastmasters improving her speaking and communication skills, specifically impromptu speaking, as well as her leadership skills, or at Montgomery County CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) who augment Response Resources when they are taxed, requiring a focus on the highest priority needs, or at a knitting store, learning to knit a new sweater, or spending time with her beautiful family, her husband and five children ages 21 to 28. (While my children aren't married, they don't live at home).
