JUNE 2020 ROUND
Title:     American Robin at nest. 
 
Goal:  To capture this Robin bring food to the nest.   
 

Equipment/Source:     Nikon D-810, AF-P Nikkor 70-300, Manfrotto Tripod and Vello remote trigger
  
Technique:     I placed the camera/tripod on the back patio under an oak tree. I went inside the screened in porch and waited for the robin to show up with food and fired the camera with the remote trigger.

Jim Hawthorn is a retired US Army Master Sergeant residing in Raeford, NC. He is a graduate of The Art Institute of Houston, where he earned an Associate of Applied Science in Photography and The New York Institute of Photography where he earned a Certificate of Graduation in Professional Photography. He is a former staff photographer for a daily newspaper and still makes regular submissions to several local papers and local/national magazines.
Jim and his wife Karen travel the southeastern US pretty regularly to photograph all it has to offer. Their favorite places are the Mountains of western NC and eastern TN as well as the Outer Banks of NC.
