Matthew Beyer

Matthew Beyer breaks from his day job as a robotics engineer to produce images using his own custom-designed and hand-built electronics. His macro photos capture the wondrous colors and patterns found in everyday water drops and soap bubbles. Matthew experiments with whorls, streaks, and explosive bursts to capture uncommon and unique behaviors in the simple soap bubbles he uses as subjects. Starting simply with drops of water, he has honed his process to produce images that were recognized by the International Photography Awards with an honorable mention in 2019.
