Karen Moureaux

I have been interested in photography for most of my life on and off and more seriously since 2002. I enjoy photographing "anything that moves" with an emphasis on dog agility competitions and I have traveled all over the USA and to Europe photographing dog agility. In 2010 I visited Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park and I was hooked immediately on wildlife photography. I visit YNP and GTNP two to three times a year to photograph grizzly and black bears, elk, wolves, foxes, bison and whatever else I can find. I usually go in the Spring, Fall and I've been twice in the Winter.

A few years ago I also started getting interested in bird photography and have been intrigued with birds and trying to get good flight images ever since. Landscape photography is not really in my comfort zone but I'm working on trying to like it and my trip to the Smoky Mountains in October 2015 definitely helped with that. When not shooting photos I own and operate a dog boarding business and I breed border collies that compete in numerous dog sports and enjoy life as well loved members of families all over the world. I live on a ranch in the Southern California area and we are lucky to have a mixture of wildlife and birds that frequent our property as well as a collection of farm animals.
