I am originally from Malaysia, but I have lived in the other part of the world since 2001. I attended medical school in the Ukraine and graduate school in Sweden. Since 2012, I have lived in New Jersey, United States, where I am currently a research scientist in molecular biology.
In photography, I specialize in fine art architecture, landscape and travel photography. My images and articles have been widely awarded and appeared in numerous publications and exhibitions.
I started photography when I was 15, and I took up photography more seriously when I was in Sweden. At that time, I was fortunate to travel across the European continent and to witness the richness of European culture and history. In this wonderland, I was very much engaged in photographing historical architectures, particularly the churches. At the same time, I operated a company specializing in architectural photography and virtual reality tours. I was fortunate enough to have a few projects done nicely, at the same time I received my Ph.D. degree in medical science.
I am always in love with nature and I wanted to capture the beauty of nature in ways that preserve the spirit arising from the scene. Since I moved to the United States in 2012, I have been fascinated by the unique American landscapes that have now become my main source of inspiration. I photograph them not only to document them but it is the sense of great pleasure from my heart.
I learned photography by reading books, magazines and online resources. I also learned photography by seeing the art works created by other talented photographers. All these inspired me and shaped my own photography style and vision. My ultimate goal is to create artwork in the places of surprise, combining my personal style and vision with the greatest moment I experience, to evoke the emotion of the viewer's heart.
I am an active member of a number of photographic societies. Further, I am the Star Ratings Director for PSA's Nature Division; Vice President, Image Colleague Society International; USA Representative, United Photographers International; Chairperson of General Business, Princeton Photography Club.
Today, I continue my passion to explore and discover. Hence, I would like to share my favorite quote from H. Jackson Brown Jr. ‚ "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
