Jeanne Scott carried a camera through most of her life, but it took retirement in 2011 to allow her to pursue her passion in greater depth. Active participation in her local club, the Coachella Valley Desert Camera Club (CVDCC), has been a key aid in her drive to continually develop her photographic skill.
Within CVDCC, Jeanne won Best Print of the Year in 2011 and 2012 as well as many excellence awards. She has served on the CVDCC Board as Secretary for two years and is currently Vice President. Jeanne has also garnered awards at the Southern California Council of Camera Clubs (S4C), and takes great pride in having won a Silver Medal at the 2013 S4C International Exhibition. She judges at the club level and at S4C.
She considers her passion for photography to be a great excuse to travel, and in recent years Jeanne has visited the Galapagos, Ecuador, Morocco, Ireland, Panama, Costa Rica, Canada, Mexico and many spectacularly beautiful places in the U.S. Jeanne shoots a wide variety of subjects but lately has particular affection for city lights and night skies.
