Franco Marchi, PPSA

Franco Marchi began photographing in 1955, at age 12, with a camera, Ferrania Ibis-34, which he still has. He worked for 41 years in the data processing center of a bank, and during this long period, he continued to photograph the family and the landscapes of the holidays, especially with slides.

Since he retired (2004), in his spare time when not with his grandchildren or running and various associations, he is dedicated to nature photography and landscapes.

He especially likes to shoot nature photography and is inspired by living in Sesto Fiorentino (Florence), where he can shoot the Oasis of  Querciola.

Although he does not belong to any photo club, he has participated in nearly 1,000 photographic exhibitions in 43 countries, on 5 continents, since 2008. He has earned about 1,500 acceptances with more than 100 of awards and honorable mentions. He received his PPSA distinction in 2014.
