Brian Hartnell

I received my Associate Degree in Photography from Milwaukee Area Technical College in 1971 and was an in house marketing photographer with Snap-On-Tools from 1971 thru 1980 & the Ansul Fire Protection from 1980 thru 1990. This allowed me a very diverse range of marketing photography and travel throughout the US, Canada and Panama Canal Zone.

Then I opened a studio for the next 25 years concentrating on consumer portrait needs and our many commercial clients of various product lines. I started teaching photo classes to Ansul employees in 1985 and that got me working with the local Technical College. I have taught various photography and computer classes since 1985 through all the campuses in Marinette County.

Now retired, I continue to teach photography and computer classes thru the local Senior Centers in Marinette/Menominee area. Currently I am developing my interest in technically challenging types of photo capture. I am flying my DJ Phantom 3 drone, learning water drop photography, capturing Stereo Pair images, doing Astro Photo with my 4.5" telescope and just expanding my knowledge into areas I never had time for. If it looks challenging, I am not adverse to using my cameras, phone, tablets, computers with each other to extend my capability.

In 2017 I founded the Marinette/Menominee Area Photo Club, when my wife and I relocated to Marinette, and I have belonged to Crivitz NEWA Photobuds since 2013. Both our clubs joined WACCO and I joined PSA and Wisconsin PSA as an individual membership for education.
