I've always loved candid photos of people, with my children being my primary focus when I had a young family. As they got older and I got scolded by them for always taking pictures of their activities and/or they moved away from home, I turned my attention to landscapes and other non-people subjects!
Now as a retiree, I have had time to especially pursue nature and wildlife photography, with birding being a side adventure. Living in Colorado, there are numerous trails and nature reserve areas where I enjoy hiking.
I still love unposed images, and wherever I am, my eye is always framing what I'm looking at - "wow, that would be a great shot!" And when that happens, it's good to have a camera at hand!
I currently shoot with a Nikon D7100, and my favorite lens is a Sigma 150-600.
