Chris Discart, EPSA, was born in Belgium in 1949. She was a biology teacher for 37 years and got heavily involved in photography after retiring in 2006. She's the chairman (or rather chairwoman) of an Antwerp photo club and secretary of the provincial photography federation. She's also a member of the jury in local, regional, and even international photo contests.
Chris joined the PSA in 2009 and has since received over 800 acceptances and won several medals including gold medals. In 2010 she became AFIAP, received a PPSA in 2011 and an EPSA in 2012.
Though she has a wide array of interests, she focuses mainly on nature and people because of the emotional expression of the subject. Traveling around the world provides a good opportunity for portraying different cultures and every now and then she experiments in the creative field of Photoshop.
