Nan Carder, FPSA, MPSA2, AFIAP·, is a retired Registered Nurse (RN). She joined the Photographic Society of America (PSA) in 2008 and earned her PPSA in 2011, her EPSA in 2013, and her APSA and MPSA in 2015. She has served as the PSA Club Representative for the Lancaster Photography Association since 2010 and received the PSA Club Representative of the Year (for a large club) in 2011. Nan has served on the Southern California Council of Camera Clubs (S4C) Board as Secretary Competition Chair in the following different areas including Interclub, Nature, Photojournalism, and Travel, since 2010.
She has served on the PSA Board of Directors since 2011 as PSA's Chapters, Clubs and Councils Vice President and PSA Secretary, where she also serves on the Executive Committee, She received the President's Award in 2016. She serves on the Photographic Alliance of America on the Executive Committee.
Nan competes in PSA-recognized International Exhibitions and has received the PSA Small Mono Print of the Year in 2015 and the Photo-Travel Image of the Year in 2016. She has been listed in Who's Who yearly since 2010. She was the Top Exhibitor Small Color Prints in 2016 and has been listed in the Top Exhibitors Box multiple times in Small Color Prints, Small Monochrome Prints, and Photojournalism.
Nan has judged Projected Image Division (Color and Monochrome), Nature Division, Photojournalism Division, Small Color Print and Small Monochrome Print exhibitions in PSA International Exhibitions and enjoys all aspects of photography.
Nan was elected APSA in 2015 and earned her PPSA in 2011, EPSA in 2013, MPSA in 2015, and MPSA2 in 2019.
