Sandy Dimke, of Seabrook, SC won this month with the first place Color Print, I’m Guessing Seafood for Lunch?
This month’s judge, Robert James Leonard, HonPSA, MPSA, AFIAP, was enthusiastic. He says “This print was technically and compositionally wonderful. It was sharp with bright colors, but not over saturated. It was and interesting subject of a restaurant table and chairs being flooded or drifting out into a crystal sea. But what really made this print stand out was it combined two artistic types: realism and abstraction. You could see clearly what was happening to the table and chairs (realism). The sunlight on the water gave it an abstract quality. The mixing of these two different artistic types made this the Print of the Month.”
