The Photographic Alliance of America (PAA) is a membership organization that provides services and activities for photographic clubs in the United States of America (USA) that are members of the Photographic Society of America (PSA).

The PAA enables and processes applications of its member clubs to receive the Federation Internationale de L’Art Photographique (FIAP) Patronage for an exhibition (salon); and for the members of its member clubs, who are individual PSA members, to receive the Federation Internationale de L’Art Photographique (FIAP) Distinctions for Photographic Merit.

The PAA facilitates participation of its clubs in international photographic events such as the FIAP Biennials, the FIAP Youth Biennials, and the FIAP Club’s World Cup. It offers services such as consultation to establish an exhibition (salon), acquire FIAP Patronage for an exhibition (salon), and promote an exhibition (salon). PAA promotes exhibitions (salons) sponsored by member clubs in the USA with FIAP Patronage.

The PAA has strong links with similar photography organizations. In the USA, it has cross representation with the Photographic Society of America. PAA liaises throughout the world with other national photography organizations via its organizational membership in the Federation Internationale de L’Art Photographique (FIAP).

The PAA is managed by an executive committee whose members are elected at its annual general meeting each fall. The executive committee communicates regularly and meets once a year to discuss and arrange the activities, services, and events related to the PAA.

The Annual General Meeting is attended by the club representatives (or their proxy) of the member-clubs. The club representatives receive a report each year of the PAA’s activities and vote on proposals on the agenda.
