Kate Webb, MPSA

Kate Webb (nee Willmer) is a consultant Acute Physician (hospital doctor) working at New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton.  Born in London, she now lives in Wolverhampton, a city in the middle of England.

Kate was given her first camera for her 9th birthday and has been taking photographs ever since, but first got involved in digital photography when she joined PSA member club West Cumbria Photo Group in 2005.  Since then she has developed all her photographs using Photoshop. Nowadays, she concentrates on the unadulterated image and only manipulates her photographs minimally.

Kate has been entering PSA recognised International Exhibitions  since 2007, and gained her PPSA in 2009, EPSA in 2011 and her MPSA in 2013.  She also gained her EFIAP in 2011. She became a member of the PSA in 2007 and for several years ran the Photojournalism Interclub entry for West Cumbria Photo Group.  She became the second vice chair for the newly formed Projected Image Division (PID) of the PSA from 2012 to 2014 and arranged the PID conference speakers for the conferences in Portland, Maine in 2013 and Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2014.

Kate also judges International Exhibitions in England and Wales.  She considers her greatest achievement, however, is that she donated samples of her work to aid the healing environment within her hospital and to help patients with dementia maintain key skills, and some of her work is on permanent display within the Emergency Department of her hospital.
