RESULTS

ELIGIBILITY

All images by PSA members in good standing that have received a Best of Show or PSA Gold medal, whether in Nature or Wildlife, in a PSA-recognized Nature Exhibition for the previous calendar year, are eligible for this Year End free competition. The next competition will be in June 2021, when the medal-winning projected images and prints from 2020 Exhibitions will be judged.

ENTRY

Deadline:  June 25, 2021

All eligible entrants will receive an invitation to enter and an entry form by email from the Nature Image of the Year Director. This entry form will list the titles of the projected images that the member has eligible. Additionally, there will be instructions regarding how and where to enter online. Entries for the 2020 year of exhibitions will be due by June 25, 2021.  Images are not to be submitted prior to receiving the invitation entry form from the Director. Invitations will arrive about mid May 2021. All entrants will now have to agree to PSA usage regulations prior to submission. This will be a check off box on the online entry form much like the check off box on all PSA Exhibition entry forms.

Please put the Director’s email into your address book so your invitation will not go to spam. All invitations to enter will come from s.jmosser@comcast.net

AWARDS

Due to a standardization of the Image of the Year Awards given by all Divisions Nature images and Wildlife images will be judged together in one group.

Awards will now consist of one 8x10 Gold Medal Plaque with a medal, engraved plate and a reproduction of the winning image for Image of the Year. There will also be additional 4x6 Silver medal plaques given: one per every hundred entries or portion thereof. The Gold Medal will be awarded for the top image selected by our judges from the highest scoring images with approximately five silver medals awarded by our judges for other top scoring images. The Gold Medal winning image will be shown at the PSA Annual Festival. Depending on time allowed, Silver medal winners may also be showed. All medal winners will be displayed on the PSA Nature Division web site, and all medal winning images will be featured in an article in the PSA Journal.  All Medal winners will have to sign a permission slip allowing reproduction for showing at the PSA Festival, PSA Nature Website and PSA Journal.

All Medals will be presented to the winners, if present, at the Nature Division Meeting at the PSA Annual Festival. Awards will be mailed to those who cannot attend the Festival.
