Thomas K. Mammen, MD, FACS is a Surgeon and an award-winning Surgical Educator. He is also an accomplished artist whose paintings have been accepted in National Juried Shows and have won awards including "Best of Show" in online Members only shows of the Oil Pastel Society.
He got the Photography bug as a 17 year old Medical Student and has strived to improve his skills. Each year, the graduating Surgical chief Residents looked forward to receiving a Black and White photograph of themselves operating independently at the end of their grueling 5 years of training created by him. Some of these photographs earned him a PSA Gold Medal along with Silver and Bronze Medalist at the 85th Wilmington International Exhibition of Photography. Several of his floral photographs have been exhibited at the Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania as well
