Rubeena Begum a resident of Dubai since 25 years has a preference for documentary style photography. From a rustic village Kohat in Pakistan to the modern metropolis Dubai, life has unraveled various nuances that have caught her attention. Inspired with the photography of her husband, Zahoor uddin Khan and her Mentor, Mohammed Arfan Asif, she has been pursuing photography for the past three years with serious interest. Her debut presentation, "The Hidden World," at "An Evening of Inspiration" photography event in Dubai caught the attention of all photography lovers.
Rubeena's pictures primarily feature the daily life of people in both rural as well as urban settings. She emphasizes on the positiveness of life in her imagery while projecting the realities and contrasts. She aspires to explore though the medium of photography the sentimental characteristics and fast disappearing cultural traditions of her folk. Rubeena is a housewife and with Zahoor and son Ahmad they venture out with their cameras during weekends to capture the light. Rubeena is a member of Shutter Bugs Creative Forum in Dubai.
