Craig Hadfield

Photography for me started as a way to remember things I saw on my hikes and backpacking trips in the Derbyshire and Yorkshire Moors. I got my first Camera when I was 10, a Kodak Instamatic. I got more interested in general photography around 1995 with my first zoom lens camera, a Canon. In 1998 I got my first Digital camera, again a Kodak, and things took off from there.

Spurred by my move to the USA and proximity to Yosemite, I started shooting in earnest in 2003. I joined the Fresno Camera Club, San Joaquin Council and PSA all in 2005.

Each fall we plan a 2-week road trip usually 2500-4500 miles and take in as many National Parks, Monuments and other scenes or events as possible. I think our record for one trip is 11 parks and monuments. I've competed in Fairs, Internationals, and PSA Competitions for the last 12 years, with a few 2nd places and a 1st along the way. I've edited the PSA Journal index since 2006 and have 5 editorial stars, I should probably work on some for Photography!

I've been entirely digital since 2007 and continue to shoot with Canon Bodies, though I do have a Fuji Pocket camera. My favorite subjects are Nature, Landscapes and Civil War Re-enactments.
