Charles Carstensen

In the mid 1940s, I was introduced to photography. The passion took hold. My first camera was a 127 film Kodak Baby Brownie Special. My parents allowed me to build a wet darkroom in the home basement.

Education includes two schools of photography in the U. S. Navy plus, earning a BSBA from The University of Denver, Colorado. Experience includes: Quality Control Laboratory Spectrographer, Martin-Marietta Corporation,; Insurance Company claims adjuster; Independent Adjuster Business owner 35 years building the company from scratch to 18 employees in 3 offices.

Final business years I specialized in General Aviation Accident Investigation and Adjusting. That speciaity heavily involved one chance only documentary photography. Now retired, my passion is panoramic photography.

Photographic Society of America education course graduate - The History of Photography; Image Analysis; A Portfolio Experience. Self published 2 Photo Books. I shoot with the FUJIFILM X Pro 2 system. Married for over 60 years with three adult children.
