Ramana is a Lawyer by profession who is also a Certified Accountant. Bit by the photo bug early in his life, he was a college champion and won many prizes in inter-college competitions in the 80s. After joining the Photographic Society of Madras (PSM), as a student, he pursued the hobby as a student. Later with Academics, profession and family taking the front seat, photography went to the back burner. With the revival of PSM in 2008, Ramana's tryst with photography began and Ramana rose to become its President in 2016.
The vast technological shift from the 80s to the 2000s made Ramana unlearn and relearn the DSLR world. Ramana is a keen traveller and has travelled far and wild within India and few neighbouring countries. He enjoys all forms of photography and terms all as travel! He is also a Fellow of the Federation of Indian Photographers and Federacion Internationale de l'Art Photographique Excellence FIAP (EFIAP) from France. Presently he has acceptance, awards, and ribbons from over 45 countries. Ramana considers himself to be a student of photography and is keen to know a new tip or a current technology.
