The FIAP Photographer’s Card is a credit-card-sized identification document. Although it has no status outside FIAP, the card can be very useful to show as a photographic credential. The card also includes the FIAP identification number that the holder of the card must include in any application for a FIAP Distinction.

FIAP rules require that anyone applying for a FIAP Distinction must be the holder of a FIAP Photographer’s Card.

  • Unless you already hold the card, you will have to obtain one before your first application for a FIAP distinction. You can obtain a FIAP Photographers Card online at: http://www.myfiap.net/user/register/fp. When you arrive at this FIAP webpage, you will find a video that explains the process in detail.
  • If you currently hold a FIAP Photographer’s Card that was issued before 2000, then you will need to obtain a new card before your first or next distinction application.

There is a one-time charge of €50  (approximately $58 USD) plus postage and PayPal fee for a FIAP Photographer’s Card.

A FIAP Photographer’s Card can also be obtained without applying for a distinction.
