The winner for January is the Star Color First Place, Home Sweet Home, by Vicki McLead of Ida Grove, IA.

This month’s judge, Richard Abplanalp, was very impressed: “I was captivated by this photo the minute I viewed it. The photo is very inviting and was hard to put down. This is a piece I could see hanging on the wall. I enjoyed all of the different textures throughout the photo. I especially enjoyed the mix of old and new items that reminded me that winter is almost over and spring is upon us.”
